James Hewes
Western Montana resident, James Hewes, hails
from Oakland, California. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from
the California College of Arts. James' background represents a marriage of
art, engineering and construction. Having worked construction, owned an Art
Gallery, Cast Bronze, and Sculpted for private collections and public
display, the work in Murphy - Jubb Fine Art
represents a unique corner of the artist’s repertoire. James has a wide
variety of ongoing art interests and projects. Garden fountains and ceramic
sculptures, geometric models and architectural constructions all find a
place in James’ collected works. He has a studio gallery up the Blackfoot
Valley, with several large sculptural installations. James has appeared in
solo and group installations in Montana, New York and California.
